Nah. I won't go seccrazy on y'all. Mentioning the article and dropping it. In the end Auburn made the plays and we didn't. I just think Sammie Coates example was a poor one to use because technically the play was illegal. I would've used the CJ Uzomah catch where Cyrus Jones got fricked up as a better example.

The same SEC officials that provided the rule you cited, studied the play as well and determined that it was not illegal. No one outside of gumps and a few Auburn haters believes this play was illegal. He wasn't 5 yards downfield. He was 3 yards downfield when Marshall started his throwing motion and about 3 1/2 when Marshall released. That's why it wasn't called as explained by the refs. But whatever. Not surprised you are still crying.

And Monticello, the question is about the best quarterback, not the best passer. If Nick Marshall runs for 150 a game, throws for 100 and goes undefeated, he is probably the best quarterback in the SEC, but nowhere near the best passer. But as you have heard from plenty of Auburn fans, you are going to see far more active Auburn passing game in 2014. So we shall see.
