Several guys I went to HS with (early 70s) went to Auburn and converted. I also knew several guys at AU that remained bammer fans for whatever reason.
I think you see more of this now that the academic offering of AU and UA overlap more than they used to.

I have never understood how one can attend/graduate from a school and pull for another. I just don't get it.
