I can't wrap my mind around how fricking retarded this kid is. FSU should be straight up ashamed that they admitted him, no way he makes over a 16 on his ACT legitimately.

Upon further investigation of the compliance/admission criteria, FSU shouldn't be ashamed, the NCAA should.

An athlete with a 3.55 high school GPA only has to have a 9.25 composite ACT score to qualify. That is over as many attempts as they want to take, and taking the best score from each section to calculate the composite. For an idea of how low that is, theoretically, guessing on every single question should net you a score of 8, with realistic results ranging from like 4 to 12.

You can literally be illiterate and get admitted, assuming you have some high school favoritism (obviously, almost all athletes do). I can't explain how ridiculous this is. Meanwhile, we are making intelligent and successful students take out loans, with interest, to pay for school.
