We don't rely on Texas oil. It's there so we use it, but to act like we depend on it is being disingenuous. Mexico could annex Texas and no one would give a shite.

If I'm not mistaken, Texas alone accounts for over one-third of total U.S. crude oil production. That's kind of a big deal.

If Texas's oil disappeared, the price at the pump would sky rocket. You think the bumfricks in Arkansas could afford $6/gallon gas? Not a chance.
