Mehhh, NFL is a better product than college football, but college teams still have plenty of fans.
I'd probably watch more MLB if there was a decent team within a days' drive of me, but I'm a much bigger NFL fan than I am of college football, and I still watch every LSU game.

I agree that the NFL is also a better product but college at least has the best players not in the NFL. College baseball doesn't get the elite prospects normally.
Plus, football is a more entertaining season since a loss can really screw you over. Don't 64 teams make it in college? Mlb playoff races are intense and sometimes clubs with 90+ wins are left out. I know people hate on the overly long MLB season but you have to be an elite team all year to make the playoffs
