Without notice and when people came to the gym it had a sign on it saying it was closed. Apparently this happened over a month ago but I am just getting word of it. That is fricked up and some people were still being charged memberships.

Yeah it closed. Apparently they sent out a notice to some members via email, but not everybody got it. Memberships were transferred to Fitness 4 Less at Mission & Crossover.

ETA: You might put "Gym" in your subject, because I was thinking the restaurant closed.

Same thing happened to their Farmington location several years back. Does ONF own that building?

I am not sure. I wonder if Planet Fitness ran them out of town with their $10 & $20 memberships. Powerhouse seemed to have a good amount of members and had crossfit in their basement as well.

ONF owns the building. I am a co-op member as well as a former member of Powerhouse Fitness.

I recently received an email from the ONF folks about how they are "brainstorming" new uses for the additional space and wanted member feedback.

I love that little store, but damn hippies can't run a business. Whole Foods will chew them up and spit them out.

I worked at ONF for a short time when I was in college. There was a guy named Kale who worked in produce, which is still really funny to me for some reason. Well that's my story about ONF.

Ditto for the one in Bentonville. I was a member there, and I walked in one Friday afternoon to work out and they were loading up equipment onto trailers and moving everything out. I asked some random guy WTH was going on and he informed me they were moving -- I'd never heard a peep about them moving, they hadn't displayed it anywhere in the gym, and it's not like I just missed it or something (I go ~4 times a week). They moved out to the fricking boonies in east Rogers and renamed themselves Zao Fitness.

I did happen upon some random Facebook page that announced them moving, and apparently most of the members didn't know about the move either. Needless to say, I cancelled my membership quick, fast and in a hurry.

That place is really not worth panicking about.

Not for the quality of food but for the memories of getting housed there at Party on the Patio way back in the day when I first turned 21.

I probably haven't actually eaten at Powerhouse in 9 years.

OK, that makes a lot more sense. The food is pretty good, but it's way overpriced. For its location and price, there are just tons of better options around.

Discounted Kilowatts on Mondays for the win, though.

Party on the Patio and Kilowats ate me alive during college. Bad food and service, though.
