Ok, call me names or whatever, but count me in the holbrook is a fricking dissaster camp. Dude is our dabo. Good recruiter, terrible coach. This is not carolina baseball. We were THE dominant program before he took over. Now we look like a joke.

Bout sums it up. I mean come one, we had 4 starters out for the midweek games. It's a testament to how great we've been the past decade+ that this losing stretch is so painful but we're still having a great season.

I don't necessarily agree with this. Certainly a top 5 program.

With a fully healthy team, it's CWS or bust. Still gotta while though.

I think Holbrook is fine.

We were a run away from making it to Omaha last season against the top national seed (iirc) UNC and we were doing great this season until the injury bug hit us.

Holbrook's fine, it was going to be hard for anyone to replicate what Tanner did in his final 3 years at the helm. Injuries have hurt this team and it's obvious those who are playing through them aren't 100%. If & when everyone gets healthy this should easily be a super regional team at the very least, it's been a rough week but win tomorrow and you take a series 2/3 on the road in the SEC.

I'd rather have injuries now (and go through this kind of slump in April) than have it happen during the post season. This five game slump accounts for half of our loses on the season. The sky is not falling... Calm the frick down...

IMO he's showing his inexperience at being a head coach and having the final decision in games. I think USC has dropped off quite a bit defensively as a team from where it used to be under Tanner. IMO USC's biggest signature under Tanner was it's team defense, and we have been a shadow of a team to our past teams in that regard.

I do expect to see Holbrook develop and improve as a HC as he goes along. Hopefully it doesn't take too long, as we have a bit of a wave of positive momentum as a program right now after the 2 NCs and the great talent we're bringing in. We are also dealing with some substantial injuries right now too with most of our top offense either out or hobbled right now....

I still think we make it back to Omaha this year. Once Shrock is back to full strength and a few of the other guys get out of their slumps they are in, we will be fine. Baseball is a funny game. Winning those final two games in Auburn may prove to be bigger than initially anticipated... we really gutted those out.

Seems to me that hitting is not as good as the past 3 years. Pitching has declined a little also, but is still in the top 10 nationally, imho.
