I know we played a home and home with UNLV back when they were the WSU of today (but with way more talent).

I'm sure some schools may have wanted a 2 for 1, but it is a convenient excuse to dodge schools if wanted similar to the Boise's "anywhere, anytime" motto that was only true if it was on their terms.
