LSU has fallen on hard times this year in Oxford. Will their fortune change this weekend on the diamond?

OM and LSU are both playing good baseball right now and this series could be huge for both clubs moving forward. Up to this point, both teams have won the games they were supposed to and lost a couple of games they probably shouldn't have.

The Thursday night will be televised on ESPNU. The guys at ESPN couldn't have picked a better game to represent SEC baseball. Two of the biggest rivals in the sport at the nicest venue in the league. Here's to a great series!

SEC baseball is on every Thursday on ESPNU. Last week it featured Tennessee @ UGA. It's not a big deal

Biggest rivals? Nah, dont think so. That would Miss. ST. When you accomplish something in the sport besides hosting a super regional, get back to me.

Best venue? Also wrong again.. But nice try.

We had a thread bump the last two weekends.

Why not let us make it three.

This isn't a bad post opposed to the last two weekend threads. Hopefully we can get the bats to heat up in oxford.

If there is a monkey on LSU's back this weekend, then there is a band of gorillas on ole miss'.

and they all go by Omaha.

Solid thread. Ole Miss always makes LSU their superbowl. No midweek games before they play us in baseball, bye week before us in football.

To LSU of course, this is just another week. Thurs night game will be another Nola pitching shutout.

1). LSU has no monkey on its back. Least of all Ole Piss!
2). The best venue for baseball is in Baton Rouge. Check attendance records.
3). You are a flaming dumbass!
