Where are you working? Traffic downtown can be a huge bitch in the early morning. If you are working there then it would be good to stay downtown and you could mostly just walk to work. Otherwise staying outside of town might be the best course.

It is a small lab and not sure of where it is to be honest. Meeting shouldn't be within traffic times so I wouldnt have to worry. I normally like to stay places that I can park at the hotel and walk to nearby bars/restaurants.
