When I was a kid, those always scared me at first glance over moccasins or copperheads because they're so damn big. Hard to believe the little guys are harmless.
I once got chased out of a creek and halfway up a hill by a moccasin after I almost stepped on him when coming off a log that I was using to cross the water. That little SOB was PISSED.

Just went outside & the rat terrier killed another garter snake. I hate snake threads, seems like every time I read one, a damn snake pops up at my house.
