Yarber, Lumumba headed to runoff for Jackson mayor

Tony Yarber

Chokwe Antar Lumumba

quote:

Complete, but unofficial, returns from yesterday’s election show only 10 votes separate the two. Affidavit and absentee ballots are still to be counted.

quote:

City Council member Tony Yarber and Chokwe Antar Lumumba, son of the late Mayor Chokwe Lumumba, will be in an April 22 runoff to see who will become Jackson’s next mayor.

Discuss.

I liked Priester but I like Yarber out of those two.

Speaking of Jackson, as I was typing, a guy stopped his bike while going down the sidewalk and took a pull from a 40 and took back off.

Yarber should win. I really thought it'd come down to him and Priester but I think Priester waited to long to get his commercials and billboards out there.

I've been seeing Yarber commercials since two days after Lumumba's death. Saw my first Priester commercial about a week ago.
