There's just something about Spring in Tuscaloosa that makes unknown career backups turn into Joe Montana in front of the few who watch practice.

Then inexplicably, they return to mediocrity as soon we start believing the press.

Can't put much stock in practice. Phillip Sims was clearly outperforming McCarron during 2011 camps, but AJ ultimately proved to be the better game day qb.

Are you talking about Coker...? he's about to be the ultimate career back up... like most back ups that transfer.. he probably should have stayed and at least had 1 yr to start.. now he may never see a meaningful snap.
