Alright, well I must be missing something, which is why I asked in the first place. 9/48 and the dude wearing sunglasses seems random to me.

The rightmost column keeps eyes to the front, to keep everything going in the same direction. That's not an A&M thing, that's how it is done. You got me on the sunglasses. Not sure how he/we got away with that or why I didn't notice it before. Probably some BS excused prescription thing.
ETA: And it occurred to me your "random" might mean the seniors (and only the seniors) saluting. That is an A&M thing. But it ain't random.
