Would be nice, but I don't like going up against UCONN for top players. They just seem to get who they want. Watching them play is ridiculous.

I consider this as the big cherry for the top of our 2015 recruiting class. She's certainly not just for show, as Wilson would help our program reach the final level, as she would at UConn.

But our incoming class is already the best single class in our program's history, and next season they will take the program up a notch from where they are right now: a contender for conference championships and for final fours...

We won the first, but wasn't able to the second. Our depth is still not at the level needed for being one of the top 4 or 5 in the nation. Use to be the depth issue was in the post: now it's at the perimeter in ball protection and outside shooting to keep opposing defenses from collapsing in on our big girls.

But Dawn can coach and she can recruit. This won't be the final class of McD's and prep studs she brings to USC. Not getting A'ja will keep our strides a little shorter in getting to the top, especially if she chooses UConn which is already up there looking down at everyone else. But the team will still be substantially deeper and more talented next season than they were this season, which will be exciting considering all they accomplished this year...

Pre-season to this year, USC was picked to finish SEVENTH in the SEC, and ended up winning it. Next year I expect them to challenge Tennessee for pre-season #1. Our non-conference schedule will be tougher next season: we go play at UConn for one thing, and most likely play UNC again but who knows. We're getting there....
