The greatness of Tennessee football...scheduling

Tennessee fans love telling anyone who will pay attention about the great tradition of Tennessee football. Without mentioning the great traditional pansiness of Tennessee's football schedule. The part where Tennessee has insisted on playing Kentucky and Vanderbilt to close the season. Or at least ever since before World War Part 2.
Robert Neyland was legendary for his fiery pregame speeches. And his mastery of pansy scheduling. Truth be told, YOUR favorite SEC school would appear way cooler and have a much better all time winning percentage if it played Kentucky and Vanderbilt every year since before World War Part 2.
These days Kentucky and Vanderbilt are the great hope for Tennessee football fans. "Gosh darn it we might be 4-6 right now! But if we can beat Kentucky and Vanderbilt we can actually go to a bowl game for a frigging change!" The Beau Rivage Pilot Truck Stop Mouse Ear South Weedeater Bowl in Biloxi War Memorial Stadium. At 5:30 on Tuesday, Dec. 28.
One heartbeat!!!
Brick by Brick!!!
Win the day!!!

Everyone does this... I mean we play either an FCS school or Kentucky and then the Georgia School for the deaf and the blind.

If you're comparing Georgia Tech to Vanderbilt and Kentucky, you must've been born in the 90s or the early 2000s. Or in great need of one of these trusty ESPN SEC Football Encyclopedias that's sitting beside this laptop. Bobby Dodd. Bobby Ross. Google that shite!

Please note that SEC football did not start in 1992. Although apparently some posters aren't old enough to remember when conference scheduling was way screwier and way more political.
