Chris Capps was the most futile player I ever had the misfortune to watch on television or live in Bryant-Denny. I'll never forget his legendary performance against Auburn in 2006 - his final bow inside Bryant-Denny Stadium. The fans booed him before the game when they introduced all the seniors, something I got very pissed off at. But my anger towards the fans disappeared when, on two consecutive drives, he let his man go right through him. Both times John Parker Wilson got hit and fumbled the ball, both times Auburn recovered, both turnovers led to Auburn touchdowns.
In the end I should probably thank Capps for accelerating Shula's demise, but that's still difficult to do when you think about how bad he herp derped in 2005 and 2006. Legendary suckage.
