The reason? Catholics demand success from their favorite teams. Catholics breed success.
If the Royals ever plan to be successful, they need to pursuade a million or so Catholics to move to Kansas City to forcefully kick out the poor unsuccessful public school educated Protestants who currently occupy that area.
Until that happens, Royals baseball will forever suck.

Nope. I'm actually a Royals fan also. Well except when they play the birds. I have been in KC since 2000. I go to the K and dig it. I actually feel bad for KC. I understand that as a Cards fan I am very fortunate. I will not make fun on the Royals. Now when someone wants to toss out 1985 I will put my dukes up and defend the STL on my hat. I get to have this debate from time to time when people find out I'm from the other side of the state and whatnot.
