Nick was seriously hurt. We didn't know when he would come back and we didn't know how injury prone he is.
Also Nick wasn't super hot to start the seaso. And didn't look comfortable running too much. Could have been Gus seeing if JJ could do better.
I love RS guys but seriously, JJs redshirt wasn't surviving the season

I defended it before the UGA game. I don't see how you could think it was the wrong decision. We needed a backup QB.
