what's there to nitpick? i'm aware of the NFL's policy on three years removed from high school... if we're lucky, Roc lives up to the five star hype... if that's the case, we'll only have him three years.

If he sucks and/or gets hurt a bunch, then yes... he'll be here four or five. The fact still remains, we'd be retarded to redshirt roc... you redshirt guys like peyton barber who weren't heavily recruited and was coming off a major injury... not the 'can't miss' types.

absolutely not the case with a five star RB.

We probably agree about all this, but your wording was dumb. Besides, I'd say we were lucky to have Caddy for 4 years. But you'd probably say 2004 was a different era.

If there is one thing we can be critical of Gus about so far, it's that he has burned a couple of RSs that in hindsight he really shouldn't have. Rest assured Roc will be playing in 2014.

There are a million reasons to redshirt Roc. Will he redshirt probably not but to say it would be retarded to is a bit of an over statement. I just dont see him getting much if any PT in a meaningful game this year, although I could see him getting similar PT as JJ did last year. When the starter got hurt.
