Pal, I'm an extremely long way from mad. If you'll check back on the threads that were saying that Pearl may be offered the Alabama job, you'll see how I felt about the guy. I said numerous times on this forum, and some Alabama forums that Pearl wouldn't come within 100 miles of any consideration for the Alabama job. As a matter of fact, nobody in Alabama's top level adminstration nor BoT would have dared to publicly come out in favor of Pearl for fear of the blowback they'd get for suggesting it.
There comes a time when the reputation of the Institution should come before the success of any segment of it's athletic dept (football included). It's obvious that Auburn hasn't found that "bottom" yet.
