I would like this hire its boring to watch but I would get over it if he wins and he is a good recruiter his current class is ranked 20th and none of them have signed LOI so if he would get a coupe of them to au that would be great

Agreed. I think he would bring in some players quickly and not have to take the cast offs from that academy in Orlando.

He is a name I heard Gary Parrish talking about eventually being an SEC coach a few weeks ago. Apparently the interest to come south is there.

I thought Pearl was the next Auburn coach?

I think they are going to try and get that guy from Louisiana Tech. He has done incredible things there and even though they lost in their conference championship they have been to the NIT both of his years there. Also the Southern Miss coach is getting a strong look as well.

We went down that road with Tommy Joe Eagles in the late 80's. I'm not saying that guy is not a good coach but we need the equivalent of James Franklin at Vanderbilt for Basketball. We need a creator of a brand not a good manager of an existing program.

It isn't the Southern Miss Head coach, it is an assistant on his staff that Auburn has interest in.

Good point, Dale. Would love to have Eustachy and would buy him all the Stoli he could drink but he's not the guy everyone is talking about.
