Amazing that old Fulton Co Stadium and Turner Field are located maybe 500 ft from each other and have almost identical dimensions
(right center is a little deeper @ Turner)
And 1 place had HR's flying out of it while
the other is known to be more of a pitcher's
park.

Yeah I know, it will be interesting to see what the new park is like.

Not really surprising if you account for the design. Fulton County was fully enclosed all the way around, which kept the wind blowing into the stadium to a minimum. At the TED, the outfield is wide open and the wind sweeps in and can keep balls in the field of play.
