Don't need to. Players that are faking are punished because they are healthy but not allowed to play. Players with legitimate injuries are given sufficient time to be evaluated by training staff and treated before those brutal coaches make them go back into the game and play 4 or 5 plays in a row without a timeout.

how much is sufficient?

what if that players realizes he isn't injured that bad and want to go right back in. your encouraging players to play hurt if you force them to sit out. which could lead to more serious injuries
