What would y'all think of a Victory Tower on Campus?

The plan was originally to have one by the Baseball Park and light it up after every Gamecock victory.

Now there is talk about ramping one up even bigger, putting it on Campus and using it to celebrate all victories. (I guess imagine a tower on top of Capstone, or something like that.)

Where on Campus? I can't think of a good place. They could just rig some garnet lights on that giant smokestack across from Russell, that'd be cool.

It's all in the idea phase now, so if you put out a good suggestion SCRooster might be able to tall someone and put it into action.

All victories? Between all the sports I imagine that thing would be lit up all the time. Not that we win titles daily or anything, but with all the sports that could add up.

They could find a place. If they can squeeze in the new business school where they did they can find room for a tower.

Possibly on an existing structure like Capstone.

As far as All Victories, that could get crazy, it might be lit up 250 nights of the year. I think maybe it should have phases or stages, like something extra special for conference/ranked team/rivalry wins.

If they do do build it, I just hope it's not half arse and that it really is something impressive and large scale. If it's a little cheap dinky thing, nobody is going to care about it and it will be a waste of whatever resources they put into it. If they are gonna do it, they need to swing for the fences or not at all.

It could be like the state flag with the Palmetto tree and after a win or whatever, the moon could glow garnet. Would have to be pretty big though and I'm not sure how they could 'hang' the moon or at least make it look realistic enough to actually be cool.

This idea is kind of taken from the idea that's been floated around of how to improve the Carolina/Clemson rivalry trophy. Both stadiums have a Palmetto tree and the winner of the game gets to hang the moon beside it for that year.

Putting it ontop of Capstone would be the shite. Building is has about 20 floors and sits ontop of a hill.

Plus anywhere in 5 points you could look up and see it glowing

I have no idea, but I think the general thought would be big enough to see it from most places on campus. Someone's even floating the idea of putting it on top of the Suntrust Building across from the State House, but I don't know how that would work sense it's not USC property (I guess just some type of lease agreement would be worked out.)
