At what point do you draw the line? Eighth grade? Sixth grade?

I expect the LSU recruiting staff to continue to evaluate every recruit on a per case basis. If his parents objected to it, they wouldn't be recruiting him so early.

Perhaps it is my experience that makes me biased, but from my work with eighth graders they are simply not ready to make big life decisions for themselves. There is a reason that eighth graders can't drive, vote, or live on their own. Their decision making skills are suspect at best.

Do you really think he sat down with his parents, laid out all of his options carefully, considered academics and what major he wants to pursue, researched LSU compared to other schools, while also taking into account the offense that LSU runs as well as the depth chart at his position, and then decided to commit?
Or was it a knee jerk reaction of committing to his childhood favorite team? Bama has several players on our team who grew up rooting for LSU, tOSU, Miami, even Auburn. When it came down to committing, Bama was right for them even if they weren't lifelong fans. Similarly I can think of several players who grew up Bama fans, but when it came down to it Bama wasn't the right school for them. There is more that goes into a decision than fandom.

Perhaps my problem is more with parents who allow their child to make a decision before they're mature enough to make it.
