They why did he Redshirt?

Matthews came to A&M and was starting at RT a few weeks later in his first game as a True Fish.

I don't question Robinson's raw talent, I'm just saying it isn't significantly better than Matthews and when you consider all the other factors Matthews has just as high of a ceiling. If you look at the great OT's in the NFL they aren't all physical freaks, actually most aren't. Being a great OT isn't about playmaking really, it's about consistency and NOT making mistakes. That's a big reason why Matthews is a great prospect, especially when combined with the reality that he is physically gifted enough to do just about anything an OT could be expected to do and then some.

Both of them could be All Pro for a long time and both are very talented. I just can't get past the "much higher ceiling" comments.

The last Auburn staff, which was made up of clowns, decided to start a senior at left tackle. Why? I don't know, but any Auburn fan will tell you that AJ Greene was the worst offensive lineman to ever come through Auburn and start.
