I understand safety, I get it, but even as an Alabama fan I have to say it's a bull shite out and excuse to try and slow down that which you can't stop on your own.
ETA: certainly I'm not the only Alabama fan to feel this way.

There is nothing more I hate than whiny and apologetic Bama fans who come on here and self flagellate over ssomething just becuase they crave acceptance from a bunch of message board dorks.
I for one am happy to have a coach willing to do whatever is necessary on and off the field to get an advanatge for my team. I don't give a frick about the rule really but i do care about what is good for Bama...and if Ssaban wants it, its good for Bama.
