Saban doesn't run the committee. Perhaps the anger is misdirected. When Saban asked if he could speak at the meeting, it was the chairperson's job to make sure that both sides were equally represented. They could have just as easily invited Leach, Sumlin, or Malzahn.

Bret is on the committee. That may have been why there was no counter-point invited.

Yes, they could have. And Leach, Sumlin, Malzahn could have asked to speak except for the fact that it appears the proposed change was not made known to all of the coaches. That is the issue many have. It appears only the coaches that believed a certain way were made aware of the proposal and given the opportunity to influence the committee.
