The only myth is that these proposed rules changes have anything to do with safety.
Where is the evidence that shows that not snapping the ball before 10 seconds will result in fewer injuries? Show me the evidence that HUNH offenses cause more injuries. Let's see hard evidence, then maybe people will buy it. Let me save you the trouble, there is no evidence.
It's as simple as this; the HUNH gives Saban fits. Everyone knows it. He knows that he can still win because he has a decided talent advantage built up right now. He knows that in a few years, once the likes of Auburn build their teams up with comparable talent to Bama, he'll start getting his doors blown off. He CAN learn to stop it, but he's too old to change. So he wants to do the next best thing, change the rules.
