it's easy to think Neymar's not injured (he's the guy in the yellow shirt) when you don't play.

I wouldn't know who the guy was - just an entertaining pic from the 'net. For that matter I don't know who the cyclist is, either. I've never played soccer at any level, but I've seen more than enough YouTube videos of obvious flopping to have a bit of an issue with pro soccer shenanigans. Apart from flopping, I really don't get why it is so popular worldwide. I've watched PLENTY of games and they were ALL boring. Championships were exciting only because they were championships. I'm pretty sure that, like cycling, it is much more fun to play than to watch.

It's less boring than baseball. And I am a huge baseball fan. Part of watching a sport to me is all that's involved. Following the players, the coaches, talking shite, etc.

Agreed that the histrionics from some players are annoying. But it is exceedingly rare to be without basis. Generally it's a foul that may not be called so they play it up to be sure it is. But that happens in every single sport without fail.

Vis a vis other sports, I don't think soccer has any more "shenanigans" than any other. And I say that as someone that watches most sports and I feel I'm pretty knowledgeable in most. They are different sorts of "shenanigans," but in a professional environment, athletes will take any edge they can to win.
