Football has been around for a long time, so it's doubtful...

I would, however, go as far as to say he is probably the most popular head coach running the HUNH in college football right now. Due to on-the-field success, he has been in the media more than Mike Leach, Kevin Sumlin, Art Briles, Mike Gundy, etc... as of late.

Sumlin has been far more of a media darling than Gus. There is a world outside of Birmingham.
