That should be 44-41, 27-24, and 38-17.
The number on the left is the number of points given up by LSU in LSU's 3 losses.
The stats came from the College Football Statistics website.

27 points is not a ton. Especially when your offense turns over the ball 3 times.

LSU was held to under 50 rushing yards. Not going to win many games like that. Plus, they had 2 turnovers. Bama was held to under 400 yards of total offense.

While I can see where you're coming from I think the results overall speak for themselves. Chavis was given a young Defense and did very well with them all things considered.
