Matt Morgan, one of our signees and a catching prospect, just got drafted in the 4th round by Toronto at #114 overall. We'll have to watch to see if he makes it to campus. I believe July 18th is the deadline for high schoolers and underclassmen to sign.

Ben Moore to the Red Sox, final pick of the 8th round and 254th overall. Actually drafted and projected as a catcher. His decision to stay or go will be an interesting one to watch. I think it's 50/50.

The kid, Matt Morgan lives 6 miles from me ( Clanton is me ) in Thorsby / Chilton county.
He said in the local Clanton Advertiser that he is off to Toronto, I wish him well.
A good defensive catcher trancends better than most positions, so I think the kid has a good shot.
