do SEC teams other than Vandy and Moo State even need to negative recruit against Mizzou?

Specific answer: up toward and on national signing day we were locked in recruiting battles with UGA for Tavon Ross and Nate Brown; also with Bama for Ross; with Florida for Zanders and McWilliams; had to flip Andy Bauer out of his verbal commitment to Ole Miss; had to hold off Tennessee for Ish Witter and Paul Adams, etc.

So yes, other teams than Vandy and Moo State do need to recruit against Mizzou. Whether they do so negatively is up to them.

Ish Witter was never on our board. Adams had been recruited by Elder at Cincy and so had contact with him at UT as well but we never made much of an effort to get him.
