Outside of FSU, Clemson, Miami, and VT, the ACC doesn't have anybody I want to play. I don't think the rest of the SEC should be forced to schedule the 10 other crap ACC schools.
You do realize there are quite a few good recruits in Pittsburgh, North Carolina and Virginia don't you?
The exposure in those areas alone would be worth it.
On top of that, the ACC and SEC tv rights are damn near owned lock, stock, and barrel by ESPN while the Pac 12, Big 12, and Big 10 all have heavy investments from FOX. The Big 10 tv deal is also expires in 2016 and FOX will go hard after it to fully own the Big 10.
The ACC is also exploring its own TV network and ESPN may just have to go forward with that to protect their investment from any future defections to the Big 10.
ESPN may look at ACC/SEC annual match ups (be it fixed or rotating) as a way to enhance their properties value. Hell, this may even be how ESPN can force the SECN into more homes in states with no SEC team.
If you don't think ESPN is going to have a heavy influence on scheduling in the future you will be sorely disappointed.

Outside of the 4 that already exist I really hope this is the way they go. Use the prior 3-5 years records as the pecking order for each conference, do a home/away, then recalculate and repeat. This coupled with a 9 game conference slate and maybe we can get down to one in-state directional school and get rid of the Furman's.
