Yeah it is.

I'm not sure what his role will be. But we do not pay our QB coach that much. So if he is even thinking about a move it's for OC or in the least CO-OC.

My serious opinion is that Mullen has done an above average job in making good hires.

But WHERE has that gotten us? We OWN ole miss. That's not good enough.

1- The way I see it is we JUMP in and spend MAJOR dollars to hire top coaches and build the fan base even if it's at a loss for a few years.

2- Settle in and know that we are going to win 6-7 games consistently per year with the occasional 8-9 game winning season.

Do you see it any other way?

Hevesey is a decent Oline coach, but a shite recruiter. I'm on the fence about him.

Dunno enough about the strength coach but who cares, it's a strength coach.

We still have no fricking Special teams coach

Plenty of holes and ineffencies to date IMO..

UMMM....YEAH

I have a big problem with that. If all I have to look forward to is the occasional 8-9 winning season then phuck it.

I expect 8-9 wins on the semi-regular, going for SEC West titles on the occasion, and at least once in a lifetime going for a National Championship.

We have the talent here in this State to do that.

How can we get rid of Ole Miss? Beating them isn't working with in State recruits..

2014 Football and 2015 Recruiting will be Mullen's to prove his moxy.. If he fricks this up it'll be Hud time.

Any ideas on getting rid of OM will be appreciated. Thanks.

I basically just want us to get to the point where we can upset one of the SEC West powers every once in a while and laugh at them.

If, and I emphasize if, the university continues to grow Ole Miss will become less of a factor, it just takes time. They are always going to be a small university and eventually the raw numbers of fans and alumni makes the difference.

Winning 4/5 Egg Bowls is bigger than you think too. Just like Ole Miss swayed every young fan in the state through the 60's/70's. The kids who are young now are going to remember MSU domination in state unless we stop winning

We need a coach who can recruit these southern kids and families.

Strong likelihood Johnson is hired today or tomorrow...

He recruits Texas and La for Utah -- and is from there -- so basically, a seamless transition into Koenning's recruiting role. Rumor is he's an excellent recruiter that doesn't have much to show for it given the area he's recruiting to and where he's recruiting from.

No indication whether or not this will be our last coaching move. Still alot of talk about hiring a true special teams' coach/TE coach and putting Sallach back in an office. Which I really, really hope happens....

Johnson is from Baytown, Texas(basically Houston) -- and he recruits Texas/La for Utah. I initially didn't realize this either...

It matters a lot!!! I have personally watched recruits (not all headed to MSU) not be able to bench what I bench. I was benching more than a DE who weighed 275 at 6'7" @ 10% body fat. I weigh 185.

You are not winning battles on the line with out a great strength and conditioning coach.
