Spurrier said its a good day for the Gamecocks and they've addressed their needs.

Said there is still one more player left out there. He's referring to Wesley Green.

Notes that defensive line and corner were the big positions of need. The class is going to allow for continued success at South Carolina.

There's a lot of opportunity for freshmen to play.

Said every paper sent out came back with a signature. Said it hasn't always been that way.

Spurrier Jr says winning helps recruiting. Said the Gilmore class was the one that started to help turn the tide.

Spurrier said the coaching staff, players and Robbie Liles all did a great job. Says the coaching staff and Joe Connolly are excellent.

Scarnecchia likes to workout and study the game. "He will probably be redshirted but who knows."

On McClain, Spurrier Jr said that he was at the school the day FSU asked him to grayshirt. Said distance from home was the biggest factor.

Says keeping the best guys in state has helped go from 7 wins to 11 wins. Spurrier Jr adds it had been absolutely critical to keep SC players at home.

Spurrier Jr said that needs are always changing.

Spurrier said that the Coaching staff is great, enjoys each other and may stick together for a while.

Bubba said that Shaq Davidson helped lock up Dexter. Shaq and Dexter were talking late last night. Afterwards, Shaq called Bubba to let him know that Dexter was good to go. Bubba said that the aspect of players really recruiting other players is what has changed in this program in the past 5-6 years, it didn't happen as often or on this level back in those days. *THANKS Twitter!

I keed, I keed... it was a changeup down the middle, had to go with it...

If you look at our average rating for the guys we're bringing into the fold today versus the past five or so classes... this is the most talent as a group. Granted it's just based on subjective rating systems, and nothing is guaranteed once they hit the playing field... but these guys, on paper, are more talented than the classes that have won more games than any teams ever at USC. The future is definitely bright!!
