Oh I know ..... I'm saying it's racist for you to say its black people...

No, it's called factual data. It may not be pretty, but it is what it is. The problem is people (maybe like you?) who don't want to address the issue for fear of being called racist. I don't give a shite whether someone thinks I am or not. I can assure you, I'm not. I work for a predominantly black university and am surrounded by highly intelligent, motivated, wonderful black people every day whom I have much respect for. I'm not saying it's necessarily all the kids' fault. It's the parents in the low-end of the socioeconomic status who are feeding a cycle of "mooching" off the gubment for decades that continues to rot the Clarke County school system.

the black people have been here for decades... the recent decline is mexican kids who's parents don't speak english at home, and they struggle in school

Ummm...yes, and the Clarke district has sucked for decades, too. You mention a recent decline; however, the recent trend has actually been slight improvement. Perhaps the Hispanic population you speak of? Perhaps a recognition by black youth that there is a need for an education and that you will be doomed to live as your parents do if you don't push through and work for a better future for yourself? I don't know.

get passed anyway because not passing them means you are racist and also lose money for your school.

This does happen. I agree with you; but didn't you just do the same thing by calling me racist for pointing out facts?

I know teachers in bogart too....

My sis is a teacher, formerly in Clarke (and taught at Cleveland Road as well). I know teachers in multiple schools in the area spanning various districts. It doesn't change the data.

Cleveland Rd Elem is 26% hispanic.

Not in Brownsville TX.

In Athens GA.

Those kids have parents who don't speak english. It is hard for them to learn in a school that speaks english. Their test scores are shite.

So yeah... if you are a good teacher, stay away from schools that need you... go chase money and easy work, because as we all know, teachers sacrifice their lives to educate our children, but only if it's easy and convenient, like totally, if your passion is teaching children, run away from the brown children and go get your paycheck in a vanilla suburb...
