Probably not in the very near future. Too many kids from upper and middle class not playing football anymore may be an early sign of a fundamental shift in a generation. As fewer kids can play at the top level of football and basketball it would follow they will begin to follow the sports they now play instead of the sports my generation did. It may be a bit too early yet, but if I was investing for the long run it seems like there will be money in lacrosse.

South Carolina was planning on starting a women's Lacrosse team right around the time Florida was starting their's, but the program has been put on hold since 2008 I believe. Grats to Florida for having such quick success.

Not sure if the issue is if they have a club team as much as if the administration wants to fund it. TAMU has a pretty good gymnastics team (women, club) but would not fund it in the B12. Still waiting to see if they move to do so now they are in the SEC.

Ive been waiting on the Brine Media Poll to come out! WTG ladies!
Tough sport and damn lot harder than it appears.
Now if we can just get ice hockey as official team sport in the SEC so my stepson (14 yrs old) can get scholly as a goalie....costing me small fortune. There is only 58 Div 1 schools across the country that offer scholarships in ice hockey..the only southern team? Univ of Alabama @ Huntsville.

Lot of hockey clubs in the SEC. If more SEC schools pick up rowing, look for hockey to be the add on the men's side.
