I don't think I was in the original thread.

All I know is that my school in the 90s never closed. A bunch of 16-18 year old kids forced to drive through suburbia (not main highways) with tree canopy and hills felt like assisted suicide at the time.

As for 2014, I was able to make it home from work without a problem. Cumming to Dawsonville on hwy 400 at about 3pm. No one was on the roads (probably all stuck on 285). Was it dangerous? Yes. But with hardly anyone in front of me or behind me, I had no need to hard accelerate, hard brake, or hard steer. No different than the story of driving to grandma's house.
