A 75 mile shift north in the expected path of a storm can make quite the difference. I remember Ivan back in 2004 in Mobile. Hit some of that colder water near the coast and the northern half of the storm slowed it's spin a little while the south didn't. Threw it some 50 miles east. Pensacola gets blasted and Mobile gets the calmer west side.

Was just told the roads in Birmingham are re-freezing now. So everyone be careful.
