So who is Bama's QB of the future? Coker's obviously a stopgap. What happened to Bateman, does he just suck? All I hear about is Cornwell and he barely stepped foot on campus.

After Coker probably it's gonna be Ok product David Cornwell who was much higher ranked before his injury and was favorably compared at QB camps etc to Matthew Stafford and fell in rankings hard after injury. He is far ahead in his recovery time and was an EE, just got on campus.

He is largely an unknown to me because of his lack of valuable PT. he could come in and be the next Cam Newton or Blake Bortles comes to mind with his athleticism or he could crash & burn we really don't know. I also am sort of torn on thinking he will be horrible or won't be the starter because there is no reason for him to come in if staff isn't confident (and Bama was courting him unofficially before Kiffin came to Bama so it wasn't his eval) and I always am inclined to trust the staff.

I think writing on the wall with him was Luke Del Rio coming in as a TF and being named #3 behind AJ and Sims. Really don't know what the issue with him is but a guy with a yr in the system shouldn't be jumped by any TF much less one that is heralded as a McElroy clone.

Cornwell is on Campus taking classes right now
