Football Recruiting Class?

So, I haven't heard much lately. Is the recruiting class Stoops has recruited held together, and do you expect we will sign most of them on signing day? Any news from Elam?

7 have already enrolled and haven't heard of any scuttlebutt about any wavering, so they would seem pretty solid. Tho, take that with a grain of salt, I'm far from a guru.
As far as Elam goes, I'm not sure. But if the rumor is true that his coaches and principle are pro-bama, then that's a huge obstacle to overcome.
We also had Krok and Tubman on campus today as well I think.

2014 Early Enrollees for UK
Drew Barker
Thaddeus Snodgrass
Mikel Horton
Dorian Hendrix
TV Williams
Cory Johnson (JUCO)
AJ Stamps (JUCO)
So we definitely have those guys on campus (and very excited about that bunch too). That alone is enough of a coup to have me excited.
As far as the rest, it's been surprisingly quiet on the flip front. Haven't heard much about any of our guys being potentially flipped and there's been a ton of that going on (just check out the Recruiting Board).
I don't feel real good about Elam though. I'm not a sources person, but a buddy knows one of his coaches and basically said that Elam was set to commit to UK but out of his respect for his Mom (who is a Alabama lean) agreed to put off the announcement and take a visit to Alabama first. I just don't like the sound of that.

Would be nice to get Tubman out of Petrino's backyard with Franklin at Penn State now.

We'll, he decommitted from Vandy, then committed to Penn State, so I'm not sure on what he's gonna do atm.
But getting Krok to campus this week was huge. WVU coaches didn't even want him to take the visit, so I think that's a good sign.
We need another OT badly, another DE (of Tubman's ability) would be nice, but IMO another OT is a bigger need.

He was in Tuscaloosa this weekend. If I had to make a guess I still think he goes to Kentucky, but him delaying his announcement to take a visit here couldn't help.
Stoops is doing awesome and I would expect him to keep it up. The big thing this year is to show more progress and maybe pick up a huge upset like Tennessee got over South Carolina.
I think with a few more classes they will really start to compete in the East and become a regular at bowl games like they were under Brooks.

Tweeted out that he had the best time of his life in Lexington too.

The crowd was chanting "we want Elam", so that's a huge boost for us. In link is pic of Stoops and Elam. The big man and the ginger

Stoops doing work on the 2015 class as well.
2015 RB (#2 in the country/Kentucky native) Damien Harris decommitting from Michigan could get interesting with the way Stoops and Co. has been recruiting. Definitely an outside shot right now, but man if we could land a fish like that.
Also, what a good looking bunch of early enrollees at the game today...

Looks like OSU and UM are major players for him still. Over 200#s and runs a 4.4 40. Would love to have him.

A.J. Stamps is a 5.5 3* star btw now on rivals, so not quite completely current.

Are you guys getting any X or T guys this year?
Posted on 2/4/14 at 10:33 pm to Porter Osborne Jr
Walker (WR from St. X) is going to be a preferred walk-on.
