By the way, it's not my intention to troll you.

I didn't want to have this legit discussion on the SECR where it's just a clusterfrick of bullshite.

Then you just missed it. People have been talking about his behavioral issues since the fall.

December 20th, 2013

quote:

Alabama football coach Nick Saban announced Thursday evening that junior linebacker Xzavier Dickson and freshman tailback Alvin Kamara have been suspended for the Sugar Bowl against Oklahoma.
quote:

Kamara did not play this season and missed a week of practice leading up to last month's game with LSU for what Saban labeled "behavioral reasons." The 5-10, 195-pounder from Norcross, Ga., was the nation's No. 32 overall prospect last winter according to ESPN and No. 45 according to RIvals.com.

If you need more info, you can google "Alvin Kamara suspended LSU/Sugar Bowl.

You'll get plenty of hits of articles dated last year.

Thanks for the link. That's more along the lines of what I was looking for... not arguments.

The al.com article which is like the first article on the search talks about his behavioral problems and being suspended, missing a week of practice and not being allowed on the sidelines for the lsu game. We've discussed it plenty about his behavior and probable negative recruiting. We can't be responsible for what you've missed and didn't see before.

OK, now let's get into rumors.

Any word or gossip on what he did to get suspended?

Weed?

Or something silly like curfeiw (I can't spell curfiew kurfiew etc)or 3rd strike on being late to a workout, etc

Now were talkin....
Rumor is he negatively recruited against us on our biggest recruiting weekend and told the recruits not to come here cause they wouldn't play either. It's also rumored that he had to go to the I don't want to practice box which saban said he's only had one other player ever to go in the box. If those are true it shows he's selfish and has a terrible work ethic.

I thought that was allegedly after the suspension vs LSU... help me out with the timeline.

The I Dont Want To Practice box wouldn't be a reason for suspension, that would be lazy/selfish etc.

The neg recruiting happened the dec13 weekend. Going to the box is the ultimate in selfish behavior but you'd have to ask the other people for the rumors of why he was suspended earlier cause I don't know what the rumors on that are and obviously they never tell that stuff to the media.

As far as I'm concerned, it's all rumor about his behavior and negative recruiting. The link you posted from ABC cites a fan site, which is ridiculous and Kamara might well have a lawsuit with them, if the only source they have is a fan site.

Bottom line is that he's leaving the team. You'll be hard pressed to find an actual quote from an individual/individuals about the truth of his departure. Only because those individuals do not want the attention nor do they want to risk losing their perks of being around the program.

My personal opinion on the whole matter is that he needed to mature mentally and he did not, which lead to him having difficulties which affected his ability to contribute. He would have certainly played Special teams had he done what was expected of him.

Wish him all the best.

I may not be remembering correctly but I think Kamara's first issue (after the knee injury) was the same event when Geno Smith had to sit for a while.
