If he didn't buy into the program, why did we continue to recruit him and why did he sign with Bama?

Wanting to be someone that a coach/mentor/teacher tells you can be and actually following a certain path to get there are two different things.

I'm not saying that he is or will be a failure. I'm simply saying that he isn't the person he thought he could be, he is someone else. That's neither good nor bad it just is.

So he was the guy that was rumored to 'negative recruiting'?

Was that just an internet rumor or possibly has merit? If so I take all that back frick him.

Can any of yall back any of this up for me? It's not that I don't necessarily believe it, it's just that all year I've been asking about Kamara and all I've heard is knee problem right before the season. Now he wants a transfer, and suddenly he's been suspended 14 times and talking shite about the program to recruits, etc etc.

It's not just that I, as a UGA fan, haven't heard of Kamara's alleged problems at Bama because I don't follow Bama sports closely, it seems to be that Bama fans didn't know anything about Kamara having issues (besides knee) until this recent transfer news. How does everyone suddenly know about all kinds of issues with him?

I think the alleged shite talking didn't start until a big recruiting weekend in December. We had some decommits and missed on some big targets right after that.

Did recruits tweet anything to the effect of "Thanks for the heads up my man AK, keep it real" or anything that would point to AK having a hand in decommits?

And what about the sudden alleged suspensions he had this year?

bottom line is this...we got to get down to 85 and AK is not going to see the field much soon. So all this other stuff is made up to soften the blow for when AK heads to AU

He can't go anywhere in the SEC though. He might head to Clemson or FSU.

I understand why he's transferring.

Are you being facetious saying the stuff about made up allegations for when he goes to AU?

One year at Jacksonville State and then to Athens where he can join Chubb/Michel at UGA in 2015.

That's my plan.

ETA... was Pruitt his recruiter?

Let's just say this: Rumors exist about him bad mouthing the program to recruits, rumors exist about him being one of the only players to stand in the "I don't want to practice box, I'll just stand here and watch my teammates get better box." that CNS talked about. He got suspended before the bowl game. His future was not looking bright with the program. I wish him no ill will. I kinda wish we would grant him a release to play anywhere to be honest.

Bottom line is, we signed four blue chip running backs last year, it would be crazy to think they all would finish their college careers in Tuscaloosa.

running back Alvin Kamara will reportedly transfer out of the program.

Bama Online reports that Kamara has met with coach Nick Saban and has been granted a release to transfer to any school outside of the SEC.

The four-star prospect from Georgia redshirted his only year with the Tide.

Kamara suffered a knee injury in fall camp and was suspended twice. He missed the week of Alabama's game with LSU for "behavioral reasons" and was also held out of last month's Sugar Bowl practice.
Kamara was one of four running backs Alabama signed in it's 2013 class

Why didn't we/you/anyone hear about any of this until he asked for a transfer?

We've talked about it before here on our board. Don't come here and act like we're making shite up because he's gone, because that's what you're doing.

We knew he was suspended for the sugar bowl and LSU game. That was common knowledge. The 12/13 rumors were popping up before the Sugar Bowl.

I'm sure he'd be more than willing to be behind Chubb/Michel. He is a team player like that

Serious question...

When the ABC story you linked cites it's source as Bama Online, all I find on google is the unofficial Bama Online 247 fan site. Is that what they are referring to or the actual Bama athletics official site?

I've asked questions about Kamara on this board. All I got was that he hurt his knee before the season and Saban doesn't talk about injuries, blah blah, not one peep about behavior problems.

As far as I'm concerned, it's all rumor about his behavior and negative recruiting. The link you posted from ABC cites a fan site, which is ridiculous and Kamara might well have a lawsuit with them, if the only source they have is a fan site.
