I would rather we send him on his way and find someone that wants to be there and wants to play for his team.
Likewise. JHC was probably a pothead when we recruited him which raises the question do we test recruits for drugs before "hiring" them? Many businesses do drug testing of new hires for good reason; they don't want drugged out employees infiltrating their work environments.
This is another reason why our realized results don't match our recruiting rankings. Way too many of our recruits end up not contributing on the field for various reasons and drug use is certainly one of them.

I've said this before in the recruiting thread, but I'll say it again here. If we stop recruiting all the players who we think smoke pot, we will have a really bad team.
I really think some people don't realize how pervasive this is in not only college but high school as well. This is a cultural thing among young people. I smoked pot almost every day in college and a good bit on HS.
He let his teammates down, but he probably didn't see it that way. I can pretty much guarantee you that he was smoking with other members of our team. I bet if you randomly drug tested all our scholarship players, over half of them would fail. Maybe well more than half.
