Luke Del Rio leaving Bama. quote: I'd heard a few bammers say they thought he had a legit chance of starting. Why would he leave? He did have a good shot by all accounts. Again transferring because he is the son of Jack Del Rio who is a famous USCw LB and still pretty involved as a Trojan alum. Coming out of HS Kiffin didn't recruit or offer Del Rio while other Pac12 teams did That is why he is transferring
All I'm seeing here is.........He gone.

I was wondering until I found this news report.
TUSCALOOSA (BubbaGumpNews) - University of Alabama head football coach Nick Saban has announced that quarterback Luke Del Rio has been offered a medical scholarship. Del Rio practiced with the team throughout the season despite suffering from a debilitating ingrown toenail that will preclude his future participation in football.
It remains unclear whether Del Rio will continue his studies at the Capstone. East Alabama A&T head football coach Skipper Tuckerson says he cannot speak about student-athletes who are on scholarship at other institutions. However, "I can report that I have consulted with our medical personnel at East Alabama A&T, and they assure me that, short of gangrene, an ingrown toenail is a manageable injury for a football player. In fact, most players recover completely and enjoy productive careers. Not that I'd discuss any particular player, a'ight?"
