It could certainly decrease the exit fee. Much like in the Big 12 where each team was supposed to pay $20+ million but actually paid half of that. I would assume the court could rule the old fee ($20 mil or so) applies.

But you are correct the GOR remains as the big barrier.

To take down the GOR someone would have to challenge the GOR. The Big 12, PAC and B1G all have GORs they depend on so they won't do it. Plus GORs have far more legal history defending them- they are used in many places in the entertainment industry.

So basically it is the SEC's move for a decade.
