It was a combination of no bama player ever winning one and there not being any great offensive players to vote for. But winning a Heisman doesn't mean you are better than someone from a different year.

On any given play Mason showed he was more likely to get more yards than Ingram. Thats a better measuring stick of how good a RB is. Especially the more carries they have.
